Balot is the founder of Tawhay Wellness, a scent-led wellness space in Bacolod City rooted in aromatherapy, mindfulness, and quiet self-return.
Her work brings together psychology, essential oils, meditation, grief work, and reflective practice, shaped by years of study, personal experience, and the steady belief that healing often begins with small, honest pauses.
Before Tawhay, Balot spent more than a decade in corporate marketing, communications, and strategy. She later moved into wellness and became a NAHA Level 2 Certified Aromatherapist, meditation and mindfulness teacher, grief coach, NLP practitioner, and Reiki teacher. She is also completing her master’s degree in developmental psychology. Her work is deeply personal.
At Tawhay, she teaches aromatherapy, mindfulness, emotional self-care, and personal alignment through workshops, courses, products, and guided practices. Her approach is grounded, thoughtful, and practical. Less about escaping life, more about learning how to meet it with steadier breath, clearer choices, and a deeper sense of self.Tawhay means serenity in Hiligaynon.
For Balot, it is not about having a quiet life. It is about creating moments of quiet inside the life you actually have.
Sam is part of the Tawhay Wellness team, where she brings a calm, thoughtful, and emotionally observant presence to the space.
A psychology graduate and future child psychologist, she is drawn to healing through understanding, gentle reflection, and the quiet work of helping people feel seen. She has a soft but grounded energy, the kind that makes people feel comfortable without needing to say too much.
She loves journaling, studying, long walks, early mornings, rain sounds, sunsets, nature, and slow instrumental music. Her favorite scent is vanilla, and she has a deep fondness for cozy spaces, cottagecore details, books, pens, and stickers.
At Tawhay, Sam supports the everyday work of creating a space where wellness feels personal, sincere, and accessible.
She believes that everything worth doing is worth doing well, and she brings that same care into the way she learns, listens, and shows up for the people around her.
A quiet soul with a steady heart, Sam feels most at peace in warm, cozy environments, surrounded by nature, meaningful work, and small beautiful things.
